Thank you.

The piece that's most important... and I stand here in your space... I say this as respecfully as I can. But if you don't tell black people what we need to do, then we won't tell you all what you need to do.

I will not tell you. I am just telling you to tell me.

What I mean to say is that - this is and has always been a white problem or violence. It's not... there is not much that we can do to stop the violence against us.

Well if that is your... (And it’s a conversation to push back) ok...I understand. I understand what you are saying. Well respecfully, if that's your position, then I will talk only to white people about how we're going to deal with the very real problems.

That's not what I mean. That's not what I mean, but like what I am saying, what you have just said, was a form of victim-blaming, Right you were saying that what the Black Lives Matter movement needs to do to change white hearts.

Look. I don't believe you change hearts. I believe you change laws, you change allocation of resources, you change the way systems operate, you are not gonna change every heart, you are not. But at the end of the day, you can do a whole lot to change some heart, and change some system to create more opportunities for people who deserve to have them, to live up to their own god-given potential, to live safety without fear and violence in their communities, to have a decent school, to have decent house, to have a decent future. So we can do it in one of many ways, you know, you can keep the movement going which you've started. And, through it, you may actualy change some hearts. But, if that's all that happens, we will be back here in ten years having the same conversation.
