Homework:

While we were making the polenta, my mom was busy whipping up a meat bruscitt and some delicious porcini mushrooms.

È non male che si mangia. Si mangia.

This is the kind of food that made me fall in love with cooking, hearty and simple, just the way I like it.

Look at the lake, and eat the polenta, now you are fully immersing, can you smell it, its woody smell, you see how the flavor are so settled, so Mellow, gentle, almost like they reflect the personality of the people. Here the people are a bit more mellow, the nature determined what the people eat, but it almost looks like it almost determines as well the character of the people.

Having visited Giorgio’s home, it’s only reinforced my sense of how strong an influence his earthy Lombardy roots has had on him. But there are still sites to this region he doesn’t know. Lombardy’s a treasure trove of surprising little-known works of art, and near the town of Bergamo, there’s a fascinating masterpiece Giorgio has never seen before.

Just a few mars from where you live, there’s this chapel attached to a ground house, and inside the chapel is one of the most extraordinary weird fresco cycles of the whole renaissance by an artist called Lorenzo Lotto. It’s absolutely bizarre, he’s like the renaissance version of Magritte or Salvador Dali.
Ok.
