3.   The Federal Reserve open market  committee round up a two-day meeting in Washington today. Speaking at an after meeting press briefing, the chairman J,P. said there are no plan to change current interest rate policy any time soon.
      We are not thinking about raising rates. We are not even thinking about thinking about raising rates. So what we are thinking about is providing support for the economy, we do think it's the point take in time, and think most forecasters believe that.
      As a result, Fed policy makers say they expect the central bank will leave interest rate at or near zero to at least 2022, as long as trillions of dollars the central bank put on to help back stop the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.

4.   Presdient Trump today nixes the idea of changing the names of some prominent U.S army bases named for confederal officers. The announcement from Trump coming just days after his defence secretary Mark Esper, and indicated he will be open to discussing the ideal which had been called for by some prominent retired officers and others. Trump said he's administration quote will not even consider such a move, some cities have been taken down confederal memorials amid ongoing protests and heighten forcus on racial injustice. 5.   The European Union recorded the lowest number of asylum application in the decade this April, the government's close to border due to the coronavirus. J.K. reports that worries refugee applicants.
      The number of asylum applications dropped 86% in April, compared to the number filed in Feburary. The EU shut its border in March to prevent teh spread of COVID-19. Several of the 27 member states also suspended the right to claim asylum. S.A.,  spokesperson for the U.N's refugee agency, says this undermines refugee rights.
      if the right to seek asylum is not at hold, there was a risk that human righs annoucne policy will be undermined in ways that take many years to rebuild.
      The EU has made it more difficult to seek asylum in recent years because of deep divisions among member states on migration.
