1.    Federal prosecutors have announced criminal charges against 18 ppl in Portland Oregon where heated protests are continuing amid the presence of federal law enforcement agents. NPR's XXX reports, the city's Democratic leaders are pleading with federal authorities to leave.
The US attorney in Origen says 18 ppl arrested this week face charges ranging from assaulting federal officers to arson and damaging federal property. President Trump sent homeland security, Customs n Border Patrol and other agency officially to defend the federal courthouse. The justice center downtown has been targeted with graffiti and other minor damage since nightly protest sparked by the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis began here two moths ago. Activists say the federal agents have been using overwhelming amounts of force, spilling well outside the federal property. And Portland police are under city orders to not cooperate with them.

Bob Dada of Harvard says that may explain why ppl with Covid-19 usually get their sense of smell back in a few weeks.
"I think that points a way to important strategies for treatments of both for ppl who've lose senses now are for ppl who are suffering from various neurological consequence of Covid___. "
