Airline companies said the COVID 19 vaccine may become a requirement for international travellers. The requirement could help ari carriers increase international travel after world-wide-slow-down caused by the coronavirus crisis. Promissing news about vaccine development has given airlines and nation hope that they may soon be able to restart suspentive lines. But some countries especially in Asia and the Paciffic do not want their heart though gains against the virus to disspear. Alen Joys is head of Australian largest airline quanters. He siad once a COVID 19 vaccine is widely avaliable, his carrier will likely to require passengers to use it before they leave or land in Australia. Joy said he has been talking to the officials at other line around the world about the possibilities of creating a visination passport for international travellers. We are looking at changing our terms and conditions to save for international travellers that we will ask people to have the visination before they get on the aircraft. Joy's told Australia Network night television. He said they were looking at ways to electonically comform that people have necessary vaccine for their pian destination. South Korea's largest airline has a similar message. Korea's boost women Qiu zhang said there is a real possibility that airline will require that passagers be vaccined bacause goverments are likely to require visinations as condition for lifiting quality rules for new arrivals while carrier air is revealing several possibilities. zhang said any change bybthe company or other lines should be cooperative with goverments. This is not something for airlines to independently design, she said. A statement from air New Zealand agrees it is up to goverment to design when and how to real benboders. The airline said it was continuing to work closely with goverment official on this issue. Australia, South Korea and New Zealand have all been able to successful limit the sprea of the virus. A big part of their containment efforts have center on keeping infected people out. Australia has enforced some of the most serious bounder resritions in the world since the apidemic began. It has close its waters to most international visitors and permitted its own citizens to travel internationally only in special cases. New Zealand has also close its waters while South Korea has required a two-week quanlity on all arriving passeagers. Australia with 27 million people has reported about 900 deaths since the epidemic began, fewer than any nations it sides. South Korea with 151 million people has reported a little over 5 hundred deaths and New Zealand, a nation of 5 million people, has reported just 25 deaths.
