1.  A top medical adviser to the Trump administration says he's confident that federal regulators will approve a coronavirus vaccine next week. NPR's JJJRRR reports, the prediction comes as hospitals around the country struggled to handle record-setting spike in Covid-19 cases.
  The Food and Drug Administration's vaccine advisory committee will meet Thursday to review the coronavirus vaccine from the drug company Pfizer. Doctor MMMSSS is the chief adviser to Operation Warp Speed, the Trump administration's vaccine effort.
  "Based on the data that I know, I expect the FDA to make a positive decision, but of course, it's their decision."
  SSS told CBS' "Face the Nation", that he expects vaccines to reach tens of millions of highly susceptible Americans by February, and that life will "start getting back to normal" by May. But he warns that new vaccines will not save the country from the current surge, it setting records for Covid case numbers and deaths across the country.


2.  President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for the coronavirus. NPR's MMMSSS reports, the President announced the news on twitter.
  Amid attacks on the election results and accusations of media bias, Trump made the unexpected announcement in a tweet. Trump wrote that Rudy Giuliani who he called the greatest Mayor in New York City history had "tested positive for the China virus". Trump also praised Jiuliani for a "tirelessly exposing what he called the most corrupt election in US history. He ended the tweet with "get better soon Rudy, we will carry on".
  No further details were immediately released and it's unclear how the 76 year old Jiuliani became infected.
  Jiuliani has spent the last several weeks heading up legal challenges to try to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.


3.  The Atlanta Press Club is hosting debates tonight for Georgia's two US Senate seats. It could have national implications coming a month before runoff elections that will determine which party controls the US Senate. But only 3 of the 4 candidates are participating as AAAHHH of member station WABE reports.
  R. Senator, Kelly Loeffler who was appointed about a year ago will face to D. opponent Raphael Warnock, one on one for the first time. Loeffler, a wealthy business woman, and Warnock the Pastor of Martin Luther King Jr's home church won the top 2 spots in the November special election to compete in this runoff.
  R. senior Senator David Perdue, a former businessman, fighting for a second term is refusing to debate his D. Opponent, Jon Ossoff. Ossoff owns the investigator journalism company. Perdue's team has pointed to the two debates that candidates held during the general election. Ossoff has called Perdue a coward.


4.  US futures contract are trading slightly higher tonight.


5.  Tens of thousands of Ethiopians fleeing war have crossed the border into neighboring Sudan. But NPR's AAABBB reports, the same ethnic tensions driving the conflict have now made their way into a refugee camp.
  Many of the refugees at this camp fled from a town called Makadela in western Ethiopia; it was a site of massacre in which more than 600 people were killed last month. Refugees say militia systematically targeted them by ethnicity. One refugee showed me wounds from a machete大片刀 attack. His friend XXX says they have received little aid at this camp because they are XXX.

  Another refugee pointed at a baby, "what does he know about politics? what does he know about ethnicity", he said.


5.  The first Northeaster东北才有的风暴 of the season has left tens of thousands without power in the Northeast. The storm dumped heavy wet snow and along with strong winds, left many roads treacherous危险的 and knocked off power to around 140,000 people in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.
  Utility crews in the area are working on restoring power.


6.  The price of a gallon of gas is rising slightly. The Lamburg Survey says a gallon of regular gas is on average of 4 cents in the past two weeks to $2.22.
  Oil analysts say while demand for gas remains low because of the pandemic.

And the life will start getting back to normal by May.
