user posted image

多少个日日夜夜,你在我的梦里;

多少个春夏秋冬,你在我的心头;

轻轻滴你来了,正如你轻轻滴叩动你我滴心弦;

轻轻滴你走了,带走我们对你的依恋;

轻轻的招手,作别你的淡淡的余影;

你是那么有吸引力,令我们怦然心动;

我们都期待着你的到来,一睹你面纱下的芳容;

在不远处的前方留下清纯的微笑,吸引我们向着你的方向前进,即使脚下有绊石有荆棘,我们也毫不畏惧;

即使只与你擦肩而过,没有留下值得我们永远珍藏的记忆,我们也会毫不吝啬的挥洒我们的汗水;

Hurricane Flossie is on track to dump as many as 15 inches of rain on the Big Island of Hawaii this evening. This is the view of the storm, now downgraded to a Category 2, from the International Space Station. Meanwhile, back on the mainland, the weather worries are from excessive heat. Some twenty states are suffering from 100-plus-degree highs today. And temperatures across the Southern Plains and in the Southeast are 15 degrees higher than normal.

Meanwhile in North Korea, video released by the government shows deadly flooding caused by days of heavy rain. At least 200 people are dead or missing. Thirty thousand homes have been destroyed. There has been an immense amount of damage to agriculture and mining. And the Red Cross warns the country will have an even harder time feeding itself for the next year.

And in Utah, the search for six trapped miners continues for the ninth straight day. Mine owner Bob Murray displayed new video today filmed underground on Tuesday morning. There is still no sign of the miners. The rescuers continue to pump oxygen down the two holes that have already been drilled.

The Catholic Archbishop of Chicago has been elected president of the US Conference of Bishops. Cardinal Francis George will serve as a national spokesman for the Catholic bishops for the next three years. His time in Chicago has seen controversy. A Chicago priest was repeatedly accused of molesting children. But the archdiocese failed to remove him from ministry even though a review board told the archbishop to do so.

Wal-Mart shares are up today after the company reported better-than-expected profits for the most recent quarter. NPR’s Scott Horsley reports.

Wal-Mart rang up nearly $91 billion worth of sales in the third quarter, an increase of 8.8% from a year ago. Sales at existing stores in the US rose just over 1%. But profits grew faster than sales as the company focused on managing inventory and costs. Wal-Mart has also begun trying to jump-start holiday sales with aggressive discounts on toys and electronics, beginning right after Halloween.

What we are now seeing is a perfect storm of environmental factors that have led to one in three American children being overweight or obese. The trend started in the 70s and we are just now seeing the effects of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. And the fallout is gonna haunt generations to come. Very important! If that doesn’t frighten you, consider this: more people will die of obesity by mid-century than all cancers combined.

Are witnesses reporting any more bizarre behavior, more bizarre, obviously, than a man opening fire? I heard somebody say he was heard talking to himself.
Yeah, (it) kinda of muttering. They didn’t really understand what he was saying. But as we all know in these types of situations from covering them that they saw the gun, they saw the look in his eyes. And one woman said she saw the jeans. But she would never be able to pick out this guy. It was almost like…
