“Definitely Maybe” is a new film written and directed by E.B. And it’s something evidence exception to the rule, I’ve been complaining likely about how bad most romantic comedies are these days. Or that’s certainly true, I would make a partially exception at least for “Definitely Maybe”, which is unusually smart, charming and insightful entry in the drama.
He starts R.R as we’ll haze, when we first meet him, he is trying to explain the facts of life to his young daughter, M, who is played by I B, for a little more sunshine. And he is trying to tell her the story how he met her mother.
So a lot of the movie takes place in flash back, it starts in 1992, when Y.W is going off to work for presidential campaign of B.C and leaving behind his college’s sweetheart in Madison, Wisconsin. Her name is E and she is played by E.B.She is one of the 3 different women, who are _____ themselves auditioning for the role of his wife and M’s mom. The others are R.V plays, summer a kind of mysterious, F.F. And I.F, who plays April, a flaky red hat he meets in the campaign office.
And a lot of charm of this movie resides in its conceit and its structure. Flash the back, you don’t know which of these 3 women, who is gonna end up being the one him end up with. Here’s an extra angle, which is that he is recently divorced from M’s mom. So you know that is the one who ends up happily with, is not necessarily the one he’s gonna happily ever happen.
The other thing is nice that this movie is very honest and forthright, and a kind of understable way about some of the difficulties and imperfections and frustrations that go with falling in love and falling out of love, getting divorce, trying to figure out who is the right person is for you. Love is still maintaining the basic fairytale and charm that so necessary for romantic company to be romantic. And it’s also pretty funny, the writing, the sharp and clever, there aren’t a lot of big laugh and a lot of jokes, but instead kinda of insightful observe in human. All and all, “Definitely Maybe” is a movie that I will definitely recommend.
