Chinese officials has ordered thousands of people to flee a village close to the center of recent earthquake.The official of Xinhua news agency says land slides resulting  from the earthquake have blocked parts of the Jingjiu River.Officials are concerned that water from the river will cause a nearby lake to flood the area.Xinhua reported that the officials in Wenchuan county want to explored part of the lake's sides to reduce some of water level pressure.Chinese officials now say nearly 29,000 people have died because of the earthquake.

An underground passage way at hydroelectric station collased Saturday in southwest , China.It is not clear if the collapse was linked to the earthquake on Monday.8 workers are trapped in tunnel in the DayanJiang Hydropower station in Yunnan province.The Xinhua news agency rescuers heard voices behind the wreckage.This could mean at least some workers survived.

Diplomats in Burma had a controlled visits of  * * area Saturday.The visit comes after the international criticism of Burmese Military for bothering aid groups from providing emergency supplies.British Prime Minister  Gorden Brown criticised the military for what  he called "in human treatment above 2 millinon storm survivors".Burmese state media say the number of dead and missing people from cyclone Nargis is more than 133,000.This number almost doubles earlier Burmese estimates.

Also Saturday president Bush extended  economic actions againist Burmese military government for one more year.He said the restrictions was not affect aid going to victim of the storm.

The leaders of Zimbabwei's main opposition party will not return home as planed Saturday because of security concerns.A spokesman for the party says it has received information about the plot to kill * * .Mr. G* has been out of Zimbabwei since presidential and  parlementary elections in March.Official results show he defeated president Robot *.But he failed to win the majority of votes necessary to become president.

Reports from Somalia say Islamis fighters has ceased the tone after clashes with government troops.People flattened the town of * * Saturday after the heavily armed fighters took control.Somalia's exile Islams opposition has rejected taking part in peaced act with the government.The peaced act began on Tuesday in *.The * for the reliberation of Somalia  says opposition memebers at the talks are not permited to meet with the government or sign any agreements. The group has also said it will never hold talks with the Somalia goverment as long as I* troops remain in Somalia.

People flight the town of Jubuty early Saturday after the heavily armed fighters took control. Somalia’s exiled Islamist opposition has rejected taking part in peace talks with the government. The peace talks began Tuesday in Jubuty. The alliance for the relevoration of Somalia says opposition members after the talks are not permitted to meet with the government or sign any agreements. The group has also said it will never hold talks with the Somalia government as long as ? troops remain in Somalia.
