1.Senator Barack Obama has claimed the presidential nomination of the American's Democratic Party. The Sentor spoken late Tuesday to a crowd of thousands of of supporters in Simpo Minnesota. He won 2,118 Democratic delegants needed to capture the Party nomination. Mr Obama is the first African American to become the expected presidential candidate for a major political party. The Senator prasied his opponent Senator Hillary Clinton as a leader who influenced millions of Americans. Senator Clinton has refused to admit the defeat. She say she plans to meet with the supporters and party officals before making the final decision.

 

2.American navy ships are preparing to leave waters near the coast of Burma because the country's government refused to accept American aid. American Admol Timify Kitting says the USS-SX and the support ships will leave Thursday. The ships have been waiting for Burma's permission to take the aid to survivors of Cyclone Nargis. The storm struck the Irrawaddy Delta more than a month ago. Admol Kitting said the United States are attend 15 times to persuade Burmese military leader to let the ships enter Burmese ports. He said the ships will return if Burmese leaders change their decision. The French navy also has suspected its affords to send aid and is leaving the area.

 

3.The United Nation says they will take 15 billion to 20 billion dollars each year to ease the problem of rising food prices. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged the countries to work together and quickly to fight the problem. The UN Chief spoken Wednesday to an international conference in Rome Italy. Delegates from more than 180 countries are attending conference. World bank president Robert Zalic also spoke to the delegates. He urged governments to lift trade barriers. He said those barriers are partly to blame for sharp prices increases for many prevents.

 

4.South Korea says it is ready provide 50,000 tons of corn to North Korea. Unification, Minister Kin Hajong said South Korea had offered the corn to North Korea last month. But he said the north has yet to comment on the offer. Mr Kin told news reporters in Seoul that he hopes North Korea government will accept. If not,he said, his country will share the food through international aid agencies.

 

5.The Indian government has raised the country's fuel prices for the second time this year. The government say the price of fuel for automobiles will be raise by about 12 cents a liter. Diesal fuel will increased by about 7 cents. But the price of kerosense will not be raise. Many poor people use kerosense for cooking. Offical say the prices increase are necessary to help Indian's state oil company. The oil companies have suffered tens of thousands of dollars in losses.
