[1] President Geodge Bush is travelling to Europe. The Presedent arrive in Slovenia on Monday. On Tuesday, he will join a meeting of leaders from European Union. Later this week, Mr. Bush is also visiting Germany, Britain, France, Italy and the Vatican. The President is expected to ask for Europe’s help in Afghanistan. He also wants European countries to pressure Iran to end its nuclear program. The American and European leaders are also expected to talk about the Middle East peace process and how to deal with rising temperatures in earth atmosphere.

 

[2] The top leader of Iran has told the Prime Minister of Iraq that the Iraq’s main problem is the predence of American troops. Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki  in Tehran on Monday. It is Mr. Maliki’s third visit to Iran since he become Prime Minister. Amercian and Iraqi officers are negociating a secutity agreement that would let Amercian troops remain in Iraq after December 31st . Middle East media say the United States wants permanent military bases in Iraq. American officers denies this report.

 

[3] In South Western China another earthquake has struck an area still recovering from the huge earthquake last month. Officers are concerned the lastest earthquake could cause flooding. On Sunday, Chinese troops walked with heavy equipment to make room for water to flow out of a new lake. The lake formed when wreckage from the earthquake last month acted like a dam and kept water in one place. The Xinhua News Agency says the situation is highly dangerous. About 250,000 people have been ordered to leave home that could be flooded.

 

[4] Thousands of activities and lawyers have begun protests in Pakistan major cities. They are demanding that President Musharaff resign. The protesters including supporters of the Pakistan Muslim league and party of former Prime Minister* . On Sunday, his younger brother * urged President Musharaff to resign immediately. * are also member of Pakistani ruling coalition.  President Musharaff says he does not plans to resign.

 

[5]Afghan officers say 5 police officer have been killed in two separate attacks. thay said three police officer were killed in a bomb attack in Gosly Provice. Two others were reported killed during a militant attack in the western province *. Officers said three rebles are also killed in that attack.

 

[6] On Sunday, Britain’s military three British soilders were killed in a suiside attack in Helmand Province. Also on Sunday, an Afghan news reporter working for the British Broadcasting Cooperation was found dead in Helmand.

 

[7]The Prime Minister of India says the threats of nuclear weapons will end only there is a complete worldwide * agreement. Prime Minister * told a conference in * Monday that nuclear weapons must be completely banned. India is one of the eight nations  to admit has nuclear weapons. India's neighbour Pakistan also has nuclear weapons. Mr. San called for an agreement that include the states destroyed nuclear weapons and he said India still needs nuclear energy to meet its needs for power.
