homework 24/7 Most of my work is done on line these days, and I was more surprised how many people expect me to be available 24/7, answering emails as soon as they arrive night or day. It was not too long ago people tend to work in a fixed time table. Once the work has done, they headed home, and that was it for the day. But the rise of internet, on line shopping and banking, and other always on services, has given this idea that everything should be available all of the time. And that was the expression 24/7 comes in. When something is 24/7, you can pretty much guarante that it is always available, or all the services are offered all day with interuptions around the clock. The Oxford English dictionary first include 24/7 way back in 1983. But it is until on recent years, it becomes so widespread. Covering shops, websided and even people. These days you may even find 24/7/365, meaning the services available everyday of the year, which more or less describes my work routine.
