Yes, we are a nation of immigrants. From all over the world we came here, and many of us stayed. But what you may not know is we are also a nation of emigrants.

A lot of us started here, and then left. For example, millions of years ago, the only camels on our planet, says Professor Guy Robinson, the only ones on earth, lived in North America. But for 30 million years, camels roamed between Alaska and Florida and nowhere else until around 11 million years ago, during an ice age, sea levels went down, and camels could then cross a land bridge that took some of them into Asia, and then over to Africa, and while they died off in America, they survived today as one-humped Arabian camels with child, two-humped Mongolian camels. Meanwhile another land bridge opened south, so animals could migrate to South America, where today we call them llamas.

So, everywhere you see a camel or llama today, you should know their great, great, great, great, great, great-grandparents were originally American.

died off:to die sequentially either singly or in numbers so that the total number is greatly diminished 相继而亡

yes . we are a nation of immigrates from all over the world.We came here ,and many of us stayed.But you may not know is we are slao a nation of immigrates.

A lot of us started here, and then left. For example, millions  of years ago, there only karmoes on our plante, as Professor guild Ronbinson, the only one on earth lived in north America.But for 30million years,karmoes * between the Alasga and Florida and nowhere else until a million years ago ,during ice age sea lever when done,and karmoes could then cross the Irand bridge that took some of them to Indonisial, and many  to Africa and where they died often in America . The survived today is one harmed a ribilian, another  Lrand bridgeopen south ,so animals could migrate to South America, which today we called them lamon. So ,everywhere you see a karmo or lamon today ,you should know there are great ,great, great, great,great,great parents where original in America.
