我去查了两个单词的读音了,

orchid  [ˈɔ:kid] n.兰花,称赞
orchard  [ˈɔ:tʃəd]n.果园

在录音上面,可以清楚地听到是tʃə的音了

我仔细听了下,貌似真是maxist,能听到中间有一个[k]音。

A house in Johannesburg in South Africa where the India spiritualand political leader Mahatma Gandhi lived is being put on for sale. The ownerof the property says he is selling it afterfailing find anyone interested in preserving its historic legacy. RichardHamilton reports.
Gandhi lived in the house on a quiet street in the northern Johannesburg suburb of Orchids. for threeyear from 1907, at the time when he began to formulate his philosophy of truthand Non-violence. He lived there with his friend Herman Kallenbach who actuallydesigned the house with ground walls and traditional African thatch. Thecurrent owner, an American artist, who has lived there for 25 years, was hopingthat university or charitable foundation might be interested in preserving thehouse for antiquity. But having failed to attract such a buyer, she is puttinginto onto the open market.
