Back in Saikong town, don’t miss a chance for one of the best seafood meal anywhere in Hong Kong. Many restaurants line the peer offering tanks with you pick a fish and shellfish. Just point out what you want and the restaurant will cook the order.
“What about one of the South China sea lobsters, the green ones?  And you will cook it for us the diner. Excellent, excellent, all right. Thank you”
My friend and tour guide Denny Ip passed the inside trick of read local food.

-That’s right. Though the taste is by mouth, because we want to taste the freshness ourselves. One thing important about Chinese cuisine is if the food has its taste we bring the taste out. The food has negative tastes, we bring the flavor in.
-Well, this is got a lot of taste, really does…, I mean, really gorgeous
-That is why you always specially come to Saikong just for the fresh seafood.

Another great day trip is the excursion to one of Kong Kong’s many outline islands. And Lantai is on the top best list. An hour long ferry ride takes us to this large mountainous island filled with * scene and interesting sites. The ferry ducks in Silver mind bay, we can rent a bicycle for a few dollars and set off on the flight roads through the town. Here you get a slice of traditional Chinese village life with crops growing in fields and locals enjoying the game of Majong. Lantai island is twice the size of Hong Kong island, and yet is largely undeveloped.
