As England’s fans nervously keep their fingers crossed ahead of tomorrow’s game, retailers are also hoping for good results, because the better England do in the World Cup, the more cash we'll spend.

Well, it’s like another Christmas, the mini Christmas. People look forward to it. They get the TV, they always wanted to have another, the good excuse gotten to get a new TV, and boost up market. Food, friends and drink, they all benefit.

England is making it the second round as thought to have boosted retail sales by 987 millions pounds. So now every goal scored by Fabio's squad will bring in an estimated 126 million pounds to UK retailers. And if they get through to the finals, it will be worth 2.1 billion pounds in sales. And it’s not just retailers, but makers, bars, pubs and restaurants are also cashing in. So with all the money we’re spending on food and drink it's inevitably taking a toll on our waistlines.

One survey found that for each match man consume an extra five and a half thousand calories, that’s equivalent to 8 pounds of beer, and all this food, or two and half lumps of lard.

Along with the calories that are on the health risks, like drinking too much beer and the stress of watching the match.

I think what people don’t really get to grip with is the amount of alcohol that is consumed there with four weeks of the World Cup which is quite staggering really, and also the number of calories that the average person will eat whilst watching the World Cup. And unfortunately these calories will be turned to be things like pizzas, crisps, all those unhealthy things; and so that, the fact that people can get very worked up about the results, specifically when their side is playing the game, and this is actually being shown in research that experts come up with to contribute towards the increasing things like heart attacks.

So it’s one day to go before the next game, what’ve people been buying.

Buy for a home and white shirts, alcohol of one of those flavors and other things very day, and also a lot of beer to buy…..

Buckles, cobalps, and flag, a hat, T-shirt, face paint.

Um, balloons and flags, and everything in my house is just lovely, really lovely, you know, and we spend so much money, you know, on drink and now watching the Orleans; it’s been brilliant.

All they need now is for England to get the right results.

As England's fans nervously keep their fingers crossed ahead of tomorrow's game retailors are also hoping for a good reslut. Because the better England do in the world cup , the more cash we’ll spend.

well , it's like another Christmas, the mini Christmas and people look forward to it, they get the TV they always want to have. now they, It's a good excuse to go and  get a new TV, boost that market, food ,friends in , drink, they all benefit.

England making it the second round is thought to have boosted retail sales by 987 million pounds. so now every goal scored by Fabio's squad will bring in an estimated 126 million pounds to UK retailers. and if they get through to the finals, it will be worth 2.1 billion pounds in sales, and it's not just retailers, book makers , bars, pubs and restaurants are also cashiing in.

so all the money was spent on food and drink. it's inevitably taking a toll on our waistlines.

One survey found that if each match man consume an extra 5 and a half thousand calories , that equivalent to 8 piles of bear and all those food or 2 and a half lumps of lard .

Along with the calories there are the health risks like drinking too much bear and stress of watching the match.

I think what people don't really get to crisis is the amount of alcohol they consumed over the 4 weeks of the world cup, quite stacking really. And also the number of calories that the average person will eat while watching the world cup. And unfortunately these calories will tend to be things like pizzas, crisps all those unhealthy things. And so that the fact people can get very works up about the results specifically when their side is playing the game. and this is actually been show in research that experts come up with to contribute towards increasing inside heart attacks.

So there is one day to go before the next game what've people been buying.

(?)

alcohols, kebab, and flag, hat,T-shirt face play

balloons and flags and everything , my house is just lovely, really lovely. you know we spend so much money, you know on drink and watching .

All they need now is the England to get the right result. Julian Needan Sky News
