In its annual report, transparenting international's latest corruption perceptions index outlined some progress on fighting corruption around the world. But it was uneven, take the south Asian region for an example, India fell to number 87 as did Pakistan towards the bottom of the list, as Sri Lanka rose to 91. There is however no progress across Africa, as a whole, with consistantly the same level of corruption as last year. Meanwhile, Latin America's profile is helped by Chilly, and Uragua at the top. No change however for what are perceived is the most corrupt countries, Somalia,  Burma, and Afganistan. Elsewhere, the list yield unsurprising result...the middle east. And transparenting international concludes that some countries in Europe have become more corrupt in the past year.  Russia's falling 8 to number 154, and the report points out that corruption had increased significantly in the UK over the last 5 years. As for the least corrupt countries, Denmark, New Zealand, and Singerpor come out on top again. Launching their report, transparenting international's chairman says the final issue was enforcement, without which or laws around the world are of little value.
