[Homework]【整理】2011-01-02&01-08 四分钟了解200个国家过去200年的发展 (1/2)
so,here we go.first,an axis of health, life expectation,from25 years to 75 years.and down here,an axis of wealth, income per person,400,4000,and40000 dolars.so down here,it is poor and sick, and up here, it is rich and healthy.now i am going to show the world 200 years ago, in 1810.here come over countries,Europe brown, Asia red, mideast green, Africa south of sahara blue and the america is yellow. and the size of the country bubble shows the size of population.and in 1810, it was pretty crowd aroud there, wasn't it? all counties were sick and poor. life expectation was below 40 in all countries.and only UK and nertherland were likely better off, but not much.now while start the world, industry revolution makes countries in europe and elsewhere moved away from the rest.but the color nice countries in asia and africa ,they are stuck down there.and eventurally, the western countries get healthier and healthier .and now we slow down to show the impact of the first world war and the expanding flue damage.what a catastrophe.now i speed up through the 1920s and 1930s .and despite of the great depression, western countries forged on to the great way of wealth and health.japan and someothers strive to follow, but most countries stayed here.now after the tragedy of the second world war we stop to debate to look at the world of 1948.1948 was a great year, the war was over, sweden toped the metal tape of the virtual olympics and i was born.the differences between the countries of the world was wider than ever.united states was in the front, japan was catching up.brazil was way behind, iran was getting a little richer from oil, but stayed have short lives.and the asian giants ,china, india, pakistan, bangaladesh ,indonesia, they were still poor and sick down here.but look what is it about to happen?
