Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, life andrelationship coach here in New York City and the author of It’s All About You.
To keep romance alive, you have to workat it a little bit, but it shouldn't feel like work. I think the simplest wayto keep romance going is to really keep affection between you.
If you touch each other as you walk by,maybe like you know, pat each other on the tushor rub the other one’s back, and complimenteach other constantly, it just keeps that attraction going together, and it's areally great way to make each other feel loved, and keep that romance going. And make an effort to really do the same things you did when you first met. Ifthere's a special place that you liked to go to together, make sure you stillkeep going there, or create new memories, find new things to do. I meanpatterns and habits are sometimes what kills a relationship.
So maybe make a plan at least once amonth you find something new to do, and maybe each one of you gets to pick whatit is. And you don't get to complain to the other one. It's like just you’re justgonna explore something new that the other person would like to do.
And have a fun time doing it, have a nocomplaining policy no matter what you do. If you get out together, nocomplaining, no griping about theweep or the kids, it's just about and spending some quality time together andyou'll keep the romance going.
