[Homework]【整理】2011-03-06 新西兰地震
There was a war of rescue workers on the scene than ever but the sense of urgency seems to have gone. It is more than twenty-four hours since anyone was pulled out of here alive. Police officers thought they heard a woman calling out from the ruins of a church, but nothing was found. They will keep looking but soon the priority will be removing bodies.
Search dogs, life dogs, cadaver dogs have indicated strongly in certain area. We are exploring for a potential voice that is loyal to victims or assistants.
It is not believed that forty seven language students were among those killed in the Canterbury TV building. Many of them are Japanese. So that has been a priority for rescue workers to resent from Japan.
Christchurch may have born the ground of the damage but the epicenter of the quake was here in the port town of Lyttelton and just like the city five miles up the road, the commercial centre of the town has been absolutely devastated.Dave Rhozano owns a bar here which like every other property on the main streets is wrecked and unusable.
Last time, last earthquake, yes, I was really thought Christchurch will be over activated last earthquake, but it is no doubt about the fact this one here was just devastating. I mean, this is just going to be no business in the town for a long time, you know, the CBD would be close indefinitely I image, Lyttelton main street, I do not know who is going to open in the next at least three or four months.
The town is being getting help from sailors who happened to be import when the quake happened which is why a former British naval officer now finds himself temporally assigned to guarding the town.
Ships are acquired with equips. We have got so many digital cameras. Everyone has been trained to firefighter and first state. So the perfect people just have to be the right places at the right time.
So, naval officer finds himself a police officer.
That is right, yes. Or any of all officers, they have to a unit.
Much of the area is still without water and power. One Briton has now been confirmed dead in Christchurch and that number seems certain to rise once more bodies are already identified.
I think we have a reasonable assumption given the high volume of British people who either live and work in Christchurch or who visit Christchurch that there is anything possibility that they will be breaks.
It is likely to be at least next week before all the bodies are recovered and the final death toll is known.
