HOMEWORK
the word today for March Fifteenth is  continual ,spelled continual, continual is a adjective means continue indefinitely in time without interruption, it can also mean      recurring instead  usually rapid seccession. Here is the word used in the sentence, "the continual blaring of the car outside   made a very difficult for us to focus on our work "         Since the mid  nineteenth century, many grammarians have drawn the distinction between the words continual and continuous.          They insist that the continual should only mean occuring   at regular intervals, as in "teacher  annoyed by their continual interruptions. "    Whereas the continuous should mean continuing without interruption , as in "the battery provide the power for up to four hours of continuous use".       This distinctions overlooked the fact that the word continual is older one and was used with both meaning for centuries before contiunuous appeared on the scene . The prescribe sense of continuous became established only in the19 century and never succed  in completely driving out the equvalent sense of continual.      Today continual is more likely of two to mean recuring, but it also continues to be used as  has been since 14th century with meaning that continuing without interruption.
