It should be a holiday of a life time, but when this Swedish couple and their baby left home for a four months long honeymoon trip, they couldn’t imagine the troubles ahead.
During the round-world journey, // and // made experiences of the blizzard, the cyclone, the flooding, a bushfire and earthquake and a nuclear disaster.
We started with snow; we started in Germany, so that it slowed us down for a night, so we spent a night there. Then it was the bushfire in Thinput. And we also had the monsoon and a storm in Berlin.
They were diving in Queensland, Australia, when the biggest cyclone in years hit the //.
We ended up in Keynes, in Queensland, in Australia and experienced the cyclone // which of course was the biggest cyclone they had in ages. And we were evacuated for 24 hours at a shopping mall, together with 2500, sleeping on the concrete floor and power went out at the mid of night. So, it’s the different experience on the honeymoon, differently
Then it was off to New Zealand, where a magnitude 6.3 earthquake killed over 200 people.
Next their eternity was Tokyo in Japan. They enjoyed two days of sightseeing before one of the worst earthquakes ever stroked the country, followed by a tsunami.
That’s when we really experienced the forces of nature, closed at hand. We were sitting in the restaurant, all of a sudden, two ladies were talking to us in Japanese, and saying “oh, shake, shake”, so we had to get out the restaurant, and everything was shaking, light post just were blaing in the open air.
They finally escaped unharmed, then faced the threat of nuclear followed. The couple and baby, Allener are now safely back home, recovering their event for honeymoon. |
