提高英语听力能力 找对方法很重要!
In a month, users around the world make about 76 billions searches on Google for free; in a day, we post up about 3 million pictures and videos to share with friends on flicker for free; in a month, an estimated 350million of us browse the world’s tens of millions of blogs for free. But now let’s look at the other way around. You will see that free is an illusion. Every month, Google gathers billions of search terms that help them to find out the search system thus to sell highly targeted advertising. Everyday, flicker receives 3 million pictures and videos next to which they can place the advertising. Some blogs allow the advertising company to place the tracking devices euphemism as the cookie on our computers that reveal our interest to the commercial network so that they can send us more relevant web advertisement. The Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs, I think, they are the rob balance of 21st century. Their manner of presenting the ideas in their power is much cleverer, more sophisticated than 19th century. But I think in 100 or 200 years, when you look back at Google, Youtube, Yahoo, we will find people are much similar to the Carnegie, Rockefeller, Stanford who drove the industry revolution. We are being judged as we are walking around the Internet by who the cookie says we are, by who we declare we are by facebook profile or twitter stream or what information you know, we put on the website we might go to. It is a  shift, not unlike we move from the farms to village, from village to London. All of a sudden, we have to develop a social system that helps us understand how we live…in the crowd city. The reality is that online life is a trade. We pay for the free web with the current information of who you are as a user as we click across the web what we are interested in. Every day, we are handing over the minute of our life in exchange for the free and convenient service on the Internet space.
