The Arabic news chanel of al-Arabiya is supporting one of Colonel Gadhafi's sons, Saadi, says he is officially empowered to negotiate with anti-Gadhafi foces. Saadi Gadhafi said he being in touch with an opposition commander to end the bloodshed, but another Arabic TV station al-Rai says it has been told by another of the Colonel sons, Saif, taht his fathers supporters will fight to the death.
A video statement that appears to be from the top legal official in the Syrian city of Hama has been posted online. In it, Adnan Bakkour announces his resignation after hearing about crime against humanity.

Medical researches in Canada say they have developed a virus which once injected into the blood stream can target cancel cells throughout the body without harming healthy tissue. Previous anti-cancer viruses required injection directly into the tumor. However, the treatment did not cure the cancer.
The east coast of the United States is embracing itself of more severe weather only days after being struck by the Hurrican Irene.A tropical storm Kartia has formed in the Atlantic and is heading towards the US. The threat comes as millions of people try to recover from the devastation caused by the Hurrican which killed at least 44 people.
A sunset ceremony has taken place in small British town of Wootton Bassett to mark the end of 4 years of silent tribute to soldiers who had been killed in conflicts abroad. More than a thousand people came out onto the high street in Southwest England.
