why are we here?
well, we are here because it's the met ball.
the met ball probably is the biggest night in fashion
yes, I'm here with Calvin, please get this basically a masterpiece, I made a choice
last year that I will only wear sustainable fashionable red carpet. The fashion
industry is the second biggest pollution of ** on the planet, it has such a huge
environmnet impact, it has such huge a human impact, and it is not just enough
for me anymore that is beautiful item or beautifu piece, I want to know that
it's not living negative mark.
so the entire outfit is sustainable.
yes.
so it's the sort of fascinating to think that some of the water bottles I may have
consumed you may have consumed will be marching up the red carpet at the met ball.
yeah, it's actually taking something which is the massive polluter on our planet,
which is plastic bottles, and such finding .. republishes that.
I try to create a dress with my stylist which had a lot different elements which
I'll be able to reuse and re-wear, so our hope is that I'll wear the trousers
which underneath the skirt again, I'll wear the bis** again, The skirt, I will
wear it again, for me, that's future of fashion, that's what fashion can and
should be doing it in the innovation.
how can the general public participate a sustainable fashion.
consumer is really under estimate the power that they have, if you buy something
do you think you are gonna wear it any times, if you can commit to that, then
that's sustainable purchase. fashion is something that touch our lives every
single day, you got dressed every single day, I want to look good, i want to
feel good, I want to do good, and that is something luxury
