提高英语听力能力 找对方法很重要!
What meant to be a textural(?) response to a terror threat has turned into a major embarrassment. The abandonment of a Premier League fixture and the fully evacuation of one of Britain’s main sporting venues was caused by the very people supposed to keep it safe. An anti-terror training company has accidentally left a dummy bomb in the toilets atOld Trafford, leaving thousands of people to fear the worst.

“And it wasn’t just like a joke.”

“I’m so scared.”

“Because I’m working there. You could tell that it’s not just like…this is not something you are used to its happening. It’s not like just a joke that happened.”

The device was described by the police as incredibly realistic, with officials thinking they were dealing with an anti-terror attack. A bomb disposal team and a fire service were quickly on the scene. Those inside the ground had little information to go on.

“I got confused like ‘why is the game is gonna called off?’ I really wanted to know. I really wanted to meet my parents, but they were in the stand. But then my mom came down. My dad…and my dad was gone missing somewhere. And we got really scared, because once we were walking on the stadium, we were like oh, we were like trying to get hold of him, but he…we got, but then he kept X off and we got really scared, and then we finally got hold of him at time. And we are like so happy to hear him once again X.”

With the stadium cleared and the match abandoned, a controlled-explosion was carried out. It was several hours before the police admitted it was accidentally left by a private company following a training exercise involving explosives search dogs. The evacuation of the stadium getting thousands of people quickly to safety was a triumph at the time when Britain is on high alert for a terror attack. Manchester United left to explain why a dummy bomb was left inside a crowded stadium has said it’s willing to investigate the incident to inform future actions and decisions.
