This is AP news minute.





1. On Easter Sunday, more than 200 people were killed and hundreds more were wounded in 8 bomb blasts that rocked churches and luxurious hotels in Sri Lanka.  The country's defense minister described the bombings as a terrorist attack by religious extremists,  and said 13 suspects have been arrested. U.S officials say several Americans are among the dead.





2. President Donald Trump's general Rudy Giuliani says "Nothing Wrong" with the president's 2016 campaign taking information from the Russian. Giuliani  making the comments on Sunday, following last week's release of Muller report, which cleared the campaign a conspiracy with the Russians, but didn't explicitly cleared the Trump on the question of obstruction. House judiciary chairman Jerrold Nadler hasn't ruled out the possibility of impeachment.





3. In Canada, residents scrambled this weekend to protect their homes against a wave of spring flooding. In Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick, a state of emergency has been declared in some areas. CTV reports a 72-year old woman was killed near Ottawa when her car careened into a ditch, created by a washed-out road.





4. And in Paris, prayers on the Easter Sunday for the firefighters who saved Notre-Dame cathedral. Paris archbishop also thanked city officials and prayed for a swift reconstruction of the iconic cathedral. So far, a billion of dollars donations have been pledged to rebuild.
