1. President Trump has put on hold his plan to begin imposing tariffs on Mexico on Monday, saying the U.S ally will take strong measure to reduce the flow of central American migrants into the United States. But the deal he announced after returning his trip from Europe falls short some of the dramatic overhauls pushed for by his administration.

2. U.S treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin says he plans to speak one-on-one with China's central bank governor about trade. Mnuchin said Saturday that he would hold routine talks on various issues, and then meet privately with Yi Gang, chairman of the people's bank of China.

3. The USS Abraham Lincoln is a centerpiece of the Pentagon's response to what it calls Iranian threats to attack U.S forces or commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf region. The aircraft carrier is in the Arabian sea. And the head of central commander says it's his assessment that if the U.S had recently reinforced its military present, an attack might have taken place by now.

4. Kenyan scientists are researching the benefits of using insects as an alternative source of protein, as populations continue to grow, putting a strain on food source, eating bugs could well become the norm.
