Yemen's Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for drone attacks on oil refineries in Saudi Arabia. NPR's Shannon Van Sant reports the refineries are owned by energy giant Saudi Aramco.

The attack started a major fire at world's largest oil refinery. The plant targeted can process more than eight million barrels of crude oil a day and account for the majority of oil production in Saudi Arabia. / is a vice president at Energy Consulting firm IHS Markit. "This facility is out for an extended period of time, you know, months, three months or longer, it has a dramatic impact on the global oil market." This weekend's attacks on the oil refineries could also impact the valuation of Saudi Aramco. But Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says it was Iran behind the drone attacks claiming in a tweet. There is no evidence the attacks came from Iran or from Yemen.

The Census Bureau says it's having difficulty finding enough workers to hire for next year's national headcount. NPR's Hansi Lo Wang reports because of the nation's low unemployment, the bureau is three months behind schedule.

By next spring, the Census Bureau says it needs to hire about a half-million more workers. Right now, the bureau still tries to bring on a few hundred additional workers and plans to send out around the country to coordinate outreach to communities of colour and hard-to-count groups. Bureau says it's been running into trouble getting applicants through extensive background checks. Outreach specialists play important roles in getting every person living in the US counted next year. The results that can determine how congressional seats, Electoral College votes and federal funding are distributed to states. The Government Accountability Office has found that the pay rates for census jobs are not high enough to compete with other job openings in some parts of the country. Tropical storm Humberto is growing but the National Hurricane Center says it should stay far away from the Bahamas which is still recovering from Hurricane Dorian. Homes, schools and other buildings along with roads were destroyed on Abaco in Grand Bahamas Island. Duane Sands is the minister of health for the Bahamas. He says this is an absolutely devastating and difficult time for many people, including first responders. "You have to fly in, literally fly in several more supplies destroyed, that nurses and doctors and allied health personnel, many of them have no clothes. Their homes have been lost." Speaking there on NPR's weekend edition. The death toll still stands at 50 with 1300 people still listed as missing. Meanwhile, forecasters say the Bahamas could get a couple of inches of rain from Humberto. The east coast of Florida and Georgia could also see rain.

British police arrested a man in connection with the theft of a solid gold toilet. As NPR's Frank Langfitt reports from London, it was stolen overnight from Blenheim Palace, Winston Churchill's ancestral home outside of London.

Police say the crime occurred overnight at a spectacular limestone palace on the edge of Cotswolds. Officers took a 66-year-old man into custody in connection with the theft but said the 18-carat gold / is still missing. The toilet was designed by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and it was part of an art installation that just opened. Intitled "America", the gold toilet joined crowds at New York Guggenheim Museum in 2016. At Blenheim Palace, it was connected to the plumbing system. Police say a group working with two vehicles towed it out overnight, causing significant damage and flooding at the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before the exhibition opened, a member of the family that owns the palace was asked about security, "it's not gonna be the easiest thing to nick," he said. Frank Langfitt, NPR News, London.

MoviePass, the movie tickets subscription service has temporarily shut down. It allows subscribers to buy up to three tickets a month for a small fee. The service's parent company, Helios and Matheson Analytics, has been trying to find financing but was unsuccessful. MoviePass has been struggling for more than a year revamping its business model earlier this year. The company says it will provide its subscribers with what it calls appropriate refunds for the period of service that they have already paid for.
