The United States and China have both made optimistic assessments about their trade talks. The White house said enormous progress has been made while China said consensus has been reached on principles. However, a BBC correspondent notes that the difference in language indicate more talks will be needed.



The British prime minister Boris Johnson has thought to downplay president Trump's criticism on Brexit deal he's negotiated with the European union. Mr.Johnson said the agreement couldn't stop a free trade deal with the U.S.



The KhoiSan people who lived in South Africa for tens of thousands of years will start receiving income from the sale of rooibos herbal tea. The KhoiSan made the tea for centuries before it became commercially available.



British police believe all of the victims found died in a refrigerated trailer in eastern England were Vietnamese, and say some of their families have been identified. The Vietnamese authorities have meanwhile arrested two people for organizing the trafficking of people across borders.



Washington has called on the Iraqi government to listen to what it called a legitimate demand of protesters, who have been demanding the resignation of the prime minister and his administration.
