1.   The second week of public hearings in the impeachment inquiry into president Trump are continuing on capital hill. NPR's W.J. reports lawmakers are now questioning additional witnesses as they continue to investigate whether Trump used military aid as leverage to press Ukraine to dig up dirty on his political rival.       Former US special envoy to Ukraine K.V told the committee that at no time was he aware of or knowingly to pardon effort to urge Ukraine to investigate former vice-president Joe Bidon.
I was not on the Jul 25th phone call between President Trump and President Zelensky. I was not made aware of any reference to vice-President Bidon or his son by President Trump until the transcript of that calls was released on September 25th, 2019
Lawmakers are also hearing from upgoing national security council official Tim M. who was on the July 25th phone call. In a close door deposition, M.said he heared nothing illegal on teh call, but was concerned that they leaked there could be political fallout.
But V. did testify in hanging side issue of a sin link between the withholding aid of Ukraine and request for investigation of Joe Bidon.  Earlier today, National Security Council official lieutenant Colonel Alexsander B. and Jeniffer William, an aid to vice-president Mike Pence, both testified, V. viewed as an sepecially important witness, so she's among those who listen to the July phone call in which Predient Trump plotted Ukrainian counterpart to investigate Bidon. V. telling lawmakers he filed the cause of investigation by the president, but US ambassador to the EU G.S. were out of line.
When I reports my concerns at July 10th related to ambassador S., and then July 25th related to the president, I did so at sense duty. I probabely report my concerns in official channels to the proper authority in ? command. My intent was to raise these concerns because they have significant national security implecation to our country.      Republicans on the panel thought to cast doubt on V.'s credibility and to go to demand  revealing the identity of a whistleblower in both cases prompting sharp rebukes from Demoncrats.

Federal prosecutors say video footage showed that Epstein was along and he had killed himself, guards were supposed to check on him every half hour. Epstein's death has been ruled as suicide, though a pathologist hired by the families said he's not convinced, he want's n=more evidence.

4.   Hongkong has a new police commissioner, outgoing chief Steven Lou would be succeeded by a career commander Kris Tang. ? Tang in the past six month has been criticized as pro-demoncracy protest's ? increasingly violenct. B.has more from Hongkong:
Beijing signed off on the appointment of Kris Tang, who takes over at the time of prompting distrust in Hongkong's 31,000 strong police force. it's beset with accusation of brutality and abuse of power. The incoming commissioner rebutted the allegations, calling them fake news. Tang called on the public not be silent regarding the misdeeds of the protesters, whatever you believes, do not glorify or put up violence , he said. Do not let the mob for their motivate themselves. The once gliming image of Hongkong's police was a source of pride that the citizens said made Hongkong uniq. Many are angered not just the allegations, but by the tarnish reputation of the police.
