1.    The Trump adm is awarding a nearly 13 billion dollar federal grants to help Puerto Rico's electric grid.
    NPR's XX reports the funding is coming 3 years after the Island was devastated by Hurricane Maria.
    PT says the adm has been working to issue this money for a long time. But Trump has repeatedly opposed funding for Puerto Rico. His adm held up aid to the Island, arguing that officials were mismanaging money. Trump now says he still believes there's corruption, but he wants to help build up Puerto Rico's manufacturing sector.
    "And I lhave to say in a very nice way, very respectful way, I'm____ the best thing that ever happened to Puerto Rico. nobody even close."
    The federal grant comes as Trump tries to win over voters in the key state of Florida, which has a large population of Puerto Rican residents.


2.    US health officials are now dropping controversial guidance about cvt and saying that anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has been identified with the virus should be tested.
    CDC essentially returning to its previous guidance about testing. Last month the CDC revised the guides to say those who did not feel sick did not need to be tested, but has changeed that after a rash of criticism from health experts.


3.    Latino voters are being targeted by some alarming messages and conspiracy theories. As NPR's XX explains from Miami on what Hispanic voters are hearing and seeing, in the key swing state.
    The race in florida is tighting____, and the targeting messaging to voters is increasing. Some of those messages are racist and anti-semitic, many plants____ sociallists and communist themes.
    XX, originally from Veneauela was on her way to get coffee with her husband at a Colombian Bakery and around.
    "I have seen it. And unfortunately the uh people doesn't make their own search. They just believe the lie that they saw it in _____________, is it true?."
    They just believe the lies they see on Facebook she says there.
    Most of these messaging has been spreading on What's UP and Facebook, but there have been paid adv on Spanish language media as well.


4.    A lawyer for Wiki-Leaks' founder Julian Assange is telling a London court about what she describes as a win-win deal of her client was indirectly offered by PDT. Assange's lawyers saying the agreement would have allowed him to avoid extradition to the US if he revealed the source of a leak of documents from the Democratic Party ahead of the 2016 election. Assange has not revealed the source of the leak of the Democratic National Committee emails and it's fighting efforts by the US to extradite him ____ of charges related to his work at Wiki-Leaks.


5.    Stocks ended the week on a down note, the Dow was down 244 points today. The NASDAQ fell 106. The S&P500 was down 37 points.


6.    Another firefighter has died battling wildfires in Cal. US Fire Service saying the death happened yesterday in the XX forest, its crews continue to fight the XX fire. The Cal Department of Forestry says it believes that fire was sparked by a pirat___ technic device, set___ office part of a gender reveal party性别揭秘派对.  The identity of the firefighter has being withheld, pending notification of family members.
    Wildfires burning across Cal now blamed for at least 26 deaths.


7.    A new survey by the Federal Reserve finds Aericans economic situation improving somewhat since the early days of the cvp.
    NPR's XX reports, more than 3 out of 4 Americans say they are doing at least okay financially.
    The fed survey was conducted in July and it highlights some improvement in people's economic well being since a similar survey 3 months earlier. About 30% of the ppl who were laid off during the pandemic had gone back to their old jobs by July. Another 10% had found new work. The recovery has been somewhat weaker among low income workers who are also among the hardest-hit.
    Remarkably the share of ppl who say they could afford an unexpected 400 dollars expense was higher in July than it was last October before the pandemic. That suggests ppl may have banked some of the hundreds of billions of dollars in federal release payments offering a buffer agains economic hardship.


8.    According to reports from a key govt watchdog group, the federal aviation adm has not updated its standards for emergency evacuations from airliners in nearly 2 decades, a period when not as more ppl have been flying to the cvp aid.最后一句话说的啥啊?
