French police investigating the beheading of the teacher arrested 50 people in ongoing raids. Four of them are believed to be children suspected to have been paid by the Islamist killer to point out Samuel Paty, a 47-year-old victim. Police shot the killer dead.
Hundreds of protesters converged on the international airport in Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos. Footage from the scene shows clowds of young people outside the terminal. Demonstrators at the head of the procession have reached the presidential palace where they demanded a meeting with President Ivan Duque. They accused the government of igoring a rise in murders of indigenous leaders by drug-trafficking groups.
The exiled former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, says he will return to the country following the presidential election victory of soialist Luis Arce. Mr. Morales had to leave Bolivia after last year's controversial election was annulled because of fraud allegations.
