Police had to remove his coffin from a room in the presidential palace where he is lying in state, after fans broke through barriers and ran through the building. In the southern Italian city of Naples, fans from the home team have been giving the Argentine a rousing send-off.
A coronavirus vaccine being developed by Oxford University and the drugs company Astra Zeneca will be subject to further global trials. Several scientists have questioned the protection offered by the vaccine. Clinical trials appear to suggest different dosages led to different rates of efficacy.
