And Gerry Marsden, the leader of the British band, Gerry and the Peacemaker, has died. He was 78. The band's best-known song is their version of You'll never walk alone. It was adopted by fans of Marsden's local football team Liverpool, becoming one of the most famous anthems in world sport.
