1.The Democratic led House Elect Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the US Capitol has issued another wave of subpoena for the right-wing group known as "Stop the Steal ". NPR's K says the penal is asking the group and two key members to turn over documents and testify by month and about their role in events that day.
"The panel has summoned a far-right activist with "Stop the Steal " Alex to appear for a deposition, the committee also subpoenaed another individual listed on group's January 6th rally permit NM. The record and testimony for both are due by month end. They were request to come the same day that documents are due from four former Trump officials including former White House chief of staff MM and former Trump Strategist B both are along with former top white house communication aide D and former defense department official K are due to testify next week or face criminal referrals.  "

2.Texas are appealing a decision that blocks the state's controversial new anti-abortion law  which bars most abortions just after about six weeks. J reports the state is turning to a largely conservative appeals court.
"Texas has headed to the US court appeals for the fifth circuit, the state is asking that court to reverse a district judge who issue a preliminary injunction against the new law known as SB8.  Judge R said the court deprived women of their constitutional right to abortion by developing an unprecedent scheme to allow by-standers to sue people who helped women get abortions. Attorney General M called the lower court decision a victory for women.  He pledged the Justice Department will continue to protect constitutional rights against all who would seek to undermine them. "

3.Pfizer is asking federal health regulators to allow use of its covid19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11. If the Food and Drug Administration agrees, shots can start in weeks. Pfizer says a lower dose of its vaccine works and appears safe in a study on young children. FDA advisers are scheduled to assess the evidence and make the recommendation later this month.

4.The Labor Department says new jobless claim fell last week to 38000 after three straight weeks of increases. NPR's S has more
"Some seven million people dropped off in employment roles in recent weeks. As emergency pandemic program expires national wide,  as mid September just over four million people were still receiving some forms of jobless aid, that's down more than sixty percent from the beginning of the month and down more than eighty percent from a year ago when more than twenty four million Americans receiving unemployment aid."
