[Homework]【整理】2009-11-19: 奥巴马结束中国之行

Overseas now. President Obama has wrapped up another four-day in China including meetings with Chinese President Hu Jintao. There was a lot of pushback between the two of them behind the warm welcome for the visiting President. Our white house correspondent Suvenna is traveling with President Obama in Beijing. With apology for long satelite delay tonight, Suvenna, Good evening. Good evening to you, Brian. This was a day of real business of the trip despite of a lot of talk about new era of cooperation. It's clear this will take time and President will leave China with same foundemental disagreements in tags. In sub-freezing temperature, the President toured Beijing's forbiden city, once the home of emperors. The President's second day in China was a long ceremony and an official welcome with a formal view of troops. And Tue night, a delicate state dinner. It was also the most substance day of the visit, President Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao holding a series of meetings and appearing later before the press to hail the common ground they shared as the world largest powers.  The U.S. welcomes China as a strong, prosperous and successful member of the community of nations. But both leaders reads touchy economic issues. Chinese President urges Mr. Obama to avoid protectionest measures that could curb China's massive dependence on US export to power its economy; Mr. Obama reminding China of its promises to stop manipulating its currency to keep Chinese goods artificially cheap. But ~ said the Chinese never broaden up US's $800 billion debt, money largely used to fund stimulous efforts. The Presidents later appeared to make a passing reference. China's partnership has proved critical and an effort to pull ourselves out of the worst recession in generations. The Chinese took a firm line against Iran and North Korea, but in a sign of diplomatic work still to be done, made no committment to support sanctions against Iran is its economic ally. The presidential is tightly managed, no questions were permitted. President Obama gentlely announced his holds on human rights. We do not believe these principles are unique to America, but rather there're universal rights and they should be available to all peoples. The leaders did make some progress on climate change, no big breakthough on capping greenhouse gas, but they did pledged cooperation on clean energy research. On Wed the President will meet the Premier of China that is onto Korea, one sight-seeing would not break the wall in China. Brian. So, Suvenna, I guess it's morning getting underway in Beijing. Thank you.
