For the last 15 years,Silifis Patrics has struggled to get a good night sleep.She used to take sleeping pills that she bought over the counter from the chemist,but they didn't work for long,her anxiety is about becoming dependent on tablets just made her insomnia worse.She now uses an online sleep program that works for her and would never go back to medication.

I was in despair really,having taking pills in knowing that I shouldn't putting chemicals in my body.I thought seriously,seriously to be honest because I couldn't say how I could drug on all my life where I was failing.   

Pharmacistes now are warning insomnia sufferies about the danger of treating sleep problems themselves.Acording to a new survy,30% of the people with insomnia have taken sleep remedies for longer than a month without getting any medical advice,14% have taken them for longer than 6 months and 18% have no idea how long they have been no medication.

If you have a long term sleeping problem,if you last longer than a month,for the majority those cases that possibly underlining medical condition and thay may be a mental health problem like depression,and about even got a physical symptom like athama,so we like people to talk to them pharmacist to get some really good advice about that underline condition might be.

Sleeping pills treat the symptoms but not the cause,pharmacist are urging the one in three people who suffer from insomnia to seek help and only use pills as the last result.
