This is Middle England's responses to the badger cull. Ordinary people out at night trying to protect their local wildlife. As the sun set, the wounded badger patrol set off on its peaceful mission. Led by M**.

As you can see that very middle England people that here today. They aren't extreme activists. We are here to speak for the badgers, and also to try to talk to people and explain to our members that the science is just not backing this cull.

Over six weeks around 5 thousand badgers be shorted by trained marksmen in west Gloucestershire and west Summerset to try and stop the spread of TB in cattle. Some groups have suggested they'll take more direct action to stand in the way of those involve in the cull.

The sound that you will hear is sounds and has been described like this many times. It is the sound of like a woman being absolutely tortured.

Yet for this campaigners, finding the healthy injured badgers is their priority.

In terms of animal welfare, it's just not right, not right for badgers and once we focus on shooting badgers, we are not actually dressing the issue of how Bovine TB spread within the farms.

Even if that means working the countryside in the dark which shooting due to take place in dusk and dawn. Tonight this has been a practice for these wounded badger patrollers, they know that over the next six weeks they are going to do all of this for real. For now they simply have to wait, aware that they cannot stop this cull but not prepare to simply walk away.
