Water--we drink it, we wash with it and we use it to grow our food. In California, it’s running out. The historic drought in west now has been found in grocer’s stores around the country. On the left, that’s what the California is supposed to look like. That’s 1 year ago. On the right, that’s how it looks today. That’s right. 2/3 of state is classified to be extreme or exceptional drought. That’s the most serious categories. If it continues to be the worst drought in 2014, it will hurt you even if you don’t live in California. Why? California’s 80 thousand famers produce nearly half of US grown fruits, nuts and vegetables. That’s more than any other states in the country. And some of these things you put in your grocery card, you can’t get anywhere else. 90% of the nation’s supplies like onions,…olives and …they all come from California. Many of them are water intensive and water is in short supply. And such as greens, wine, beef….  Could all these things price pressures or price increasing. So how high could prices go? A vegetable-crop specialist used to be riverside xx told us this drought could have produce prices 10% over the next few years. And lawmakers are preparing emergency-relief fields. But what’s the farmers need is rain.
