One activist group said the world was drowning in promises.  

President Biden hailed the G7 gathering as extraordinarily collaborative and productive. He’s now arrived in Brussels for two days of talks with NATO and European Union. It is expected Washington will stress it’s resumed its leadership role in the Atlantic Alliance which was diminished during the Trump presidency.   

Swiss voters have narrowly rejected government proposals to limit carbon dioxide emissions. The referendum result cast down on Switzerland’s strategy to comply with the Paris climate change accord.
